RESOURCES FOR DC RESIDENTS
The Express Pet Health Wellness Clinic operates through Brandywine Valley SPCA D.C. offers low cost animal wellness appointments and vaccinations to District residents, and beyond.

Services available by appointment only, and pricing is listed at the link above. For more information, call (202)-888-VETS. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier.
The Pet Pantry program was created to support DC residents in caring for their pets by providing free pet food to those who indicate need. Food is distributed on the first Sunday of every month from 9-11am at 1201 New York Ave NE.
The food distributed is intended to supplement the pet's monthly food needs and to reduce the financial burden associated with pet care.
Brandywine Valley SPCA is offering free wellness and spay-and-neuter appointments through April 18th for community cats that reside within the District.
The program will provide spay/neuter surgery, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and an ear tip before cats are returned to the field. Sign ups can be found on the organization's homepage, for now.
In homes where there is domestic abuse, it’s not just the people who are at risk; animals are often targeted as well. Through the Safe Haven program, the Humane Rescue Alliance offers 24/7 help for victims of domestic violence who are concerned about the safety of their pets.
Call 202-723-5730 for assistance or to learn more.
The Medical Center, located at 71 Oglethorpe St. NW, is currently offering vaccines and preventatives giving pet owners an opportunity to have their pets vaccinated without the additional cost of a vet exam.

Vaccines are available by appointment only. The clinic is open Thursdays, 4-7 pm, and every other Saturday, 11am-2pm. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier. There is a $15 deposit fee for appointments
